English Language differs completely from the English curriculum schools teach from Year 7 to 10.

This subject introduces new writing structures, including short answers, analytical commentaries, and contemporary essay’s. With school’s Unit’s 1/2 curriculum not focusing on the structures assessed in Unit’s 3/4, many students are overwhelmed and lost at the beginning of the year. With the correct guidance and head start, you can make English Language more palatable and feel more confident.

Our VCE English Language classes pride on entwining theory as well SAC/exam questions from the beginning of the tuition, to effectively start you exam preparation as soon as you enrol.

Each student is able access all our detailed AOS notes, AC and essay guide, linguist quote bank, contemporary examples, SAC material, and practice exams.

Each class will effectively utilise content notes, practice questions in class, additional questions to master at home, weekly/fortnightly quizzes and screen-sharing to allow for real-time following along.

Our tutors are equipped with the skills and tutorage expanding to other subjects. We not only specialise in English Language but can provide lessons for additional subjects including:

units 1/2

Units 1/2 classes are delivered by Crest Academy’s Associate Tutors and focus on building strong foundations in linguistic concepts, metalanguage, and analytical skills. Lessons are structured, supportive, and skills-based, preparing students with confidence for the academic demands of Units 3/4.

units 3/4

Units 3/4 classes are led by Head Tutor and Founder Sydney Lay (Raw 50), alongside Associate Tutors. Tuition is highly structured and exam-focused, with personalised SAC preparation tailored to individual school requirements, ensuring students are thoroughly prepared for both coursework and the final VCAA examination.
